As Michigan transitions into fall, it gives me the shivers looking at these photos Andrea and I shot in August. No sleeves? Sandals? I’m already craving a vacation somewhere warm where I can wear this summer outfit again.
I loved this summer dress the second I saw it at Urban Outfitters (which now I can’t find to link to, grrr). From the chartreuse color to the pleats to the sheer long layer over the short dress, it was eye-catching. The problem was trying to justify buying a formal dress when I had nothing formal to wear it to. After some perusing, I found this jean vest that toned down the dress. Matched with coral lips and simple sandals, I would wear this outfit out without the fear of it screaming ‘PROM!’
So here it is, my last summer outfit post for the year. Now let’s pile on the layers, put on our scarves and get ready for fall!
