I spend way too much time scanning Pinterest for things I don’t even know I want: from organizational ideas that I’ll most likely never use, to tantalizing treats that are guaranteed to be “only 45 calories!” to the occasional kitten in a sweater.

Point being, for every 100 pins, I only actually make 1 one of them. This is a trend I am determined to break. Why? So I can somehow justify the outrageous amount of time spent on Pinterest and say things like “it’s provides great inspiration for my blog!”

Yet another issue is I mess up almost every recipe I try if I don’t have the supervision of my mother. To lower my chances of failure I’ve chosen to start the challenge with this seemingly simple Caramel Cheesecake Apple Dip. The pin actually reads “3 minute 3 ingredient recipe” so I’m hoping that means there is no way I will be able to make it taste like barf. Let’s do this.

I didn’t burn it or substitute crisco for the cream cheese, therefore I deem myself victorious! Even if it tasted like shit, Nick would eat it because he’s sweet, and in college. But it didn’t taste like shit! I’ll definitely serve this again (most likely to myself because I’m not cool enough to have dinner parties).

Stay tuned for the next, possibly successful Pinterest project.
